Area Youth Learn Basics of Golf

Dayton, TN -- Over 35 youth golfers and instructors were in attendance at the annual Dayton Youth Golf Clinic held at the Dayton Golf and Country Club in early July. The staff at the clinic included, Jeff Travis Dayton Golf & Country Club Manager, former Rhea County High School golf coach Ray Talley, Nathan Talley, RCHS and Rhea Middle School Golf coach, Taylor Williams Former Bryan college golfer and present RMS assistant golf coach and volunteer instructor Pat Whitmore.

The youth received instruction on putting, chipping and driving as well as other fine points of golfing. On the last day of clinic, there was a competition in those three areas of golfing. Top finishers in each gender and age division are listed below.
