It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Wilma Aileen Nichols Coulter, who passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on March 6, 2025, at the age of 93.
Born to James T. and Maggie Morgan Nichols on November 12, 1931, Wilma was a lifelong resident of Dayton, TN. She was a devoted member of the Church of God faith, where her spirituality and kindness touched many throughout her life.
Wilma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Coulter; sons, Roger Lee Coulter and Thomas Junior Coulter; as well as several siblings. She is survived by her loving children, Debbie Hickman, Connie (James) Blaylock, and Robert (Donna) Neal. Also surviving are her siblings, Kenneth Nichols and Dorothy Coulter, along with many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to being a devoted mother and grandmother, Wilma loved to spend time in her flower beds, caring for the plants she so loved. She also cherished time spent with family and friends, often sharing her love of cooking and creating lasting memories. Her warm spirit and selflessness will be missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home, with Pastor Kevin Glaser officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at Cranmore Cove Cemetery.
