Zac Hennessee and A.J. Shaver Lead Eagles with 18 and 13 points
Evensville, TN -- Rhea Middle hostged Sweetwater on Monday, December 2, 2024. The varsity lost 39-38 to Sweetwater as Sweetwater sprinted out to 11-4 first quarter advantage. Rhea Middle battled back with 15-10 third quarter to cut deficit to 1 point at 30-29 after 3 quarters. Rhea Middle held on for 39-38 win. Zac Hennessee with 18 and A. J. Shaver with 13 points led the Eagles.
In Junior Varsity action, it was another close game with Rhea Middle moving out to 11-7 first quarter advantage before taking a 23-9 halftime lead. Eagles held on for 29-26 win after Sweetwater outscored Rhea 17-5 in second half but fell short 29-26. Malachi Slater led all scorers with 15 points.
