Spring City Remains Unbeaten with 26-6 win over Jefferson

Bulldogs Put Up 269 Yards Total Offense In the Win

9/11/25 Spring City -- On Homecoming night, Spring City hosted Jefferson Middle. Bulldogs won 26-6 to remain unbeaten at 5-0. Spencer Campbell, Collyn Groce and Myles Vineyard accounty for 179 yards rushing and quarterback Easton Fuller was 2 for 2 for 90 yards passing with Spencer Campbell catching both passes. Fuller had an interception in the game to earn player of the game. On defense, Spencer Campbell led all defenders with 10 tackles. Full stats are below compliments of Spring City Football.

Spring City received the kickoff and a long Collyn Groce runback took the ball to the 24 yard line of Jefferson. Myles Vineyard scored the touchdown on first play of the possession for 6-0 lead. 2-point conversion was short and score remained at 6-0

Groce kicked off and Jefferson began possession at their 12 yard line. A short kick after a 3 and out gave Bulldogs the ball at the Jefferson 36 yard line. Groce looked to have scored the 36 yard touchdonw run the first play of the possession, but penalty moved the ball back to the 34 yard line. Bulldogs were not able to move the ball and turned it over on downs at the 37 of Jefferson. Jefferson moved the ball across midfield the with strong rushing attack, but Bulldogs stepped up the defense and forced turnover on downs at the Bulldogs 44 yard line.

Vineyard began the possession with 6 yard run to midfield as first quarter ended. Groce had strong run up the middle for first down at Jefferson's 34. Vineyard picked up another first at the 23 yard line and another around the 10 and he finished the drive with a 10 yard touchdown run with 2:01 left on 2nd quarter clock. He added the 2 point conversion for the 14-0 lead for Bulldogs.

Cayden Jolley kicked off next and he is the onside kicking specialist. His kick was recovered by Bulldogs at Jefferson's 41 yard line. Campell scored from the 38 on a direct snap run to push the Bulldogs lead to 20-0, but 2-point conversion failed.

Jefferson brought the kickoff up to the 34 yard line. A Gomez reception moved the ball 21 yards to the Bulldogs 45 and a penalty took ball to the 40. Jeffeson had 2 nice pass plays wiped by penalty and ended up with 4 and 15 around midfield. Eagles looked to go long but went wrong as Easton Fuller intercepted the pass around the Bulldogs' 22 yard line and he returned the ball to the 35. A personal foul took Bulldogs back to their 18 yard line. Fuller to Campbell for 82 yards was the only play of the series as Bulldogs went up 26-0. The attempts to convert on the run was short and score remained 26-0 as half ended.

Jefferson scored a touchdown in the second half for the final 26-6 margin.
