Shirley Frances Brooks, age 64 of Dayton, passed away in Decatur on Friday, October 11, 2024. She was born in Rhea County on October 20, 1959, the daughter of the late Willie Frank Patton, Sr. and Catherine (Jones) Patton. She was also preceded in death by her husband.

Shirley lived in Rhea County all of her life, was a homemaker and enjoyed cleaning her home, and was of the Baptist faith.

Shirley is survived by her two children, Joshua Crabtree and Jena Dugger, both of Dayton; her eight grandchildren; her eight great-great children; and her two sisters, Rosemary Brown of Murfreesboro and Janice (Paul) Vineyard of Spring City.

Graveside funeral services for Shirley will be on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 12:00 noon at Pleasant View Cemetery in Graysville with Rev. Phil Carter officiating.
