Scott Edward Owensby, age 61 of Dayton passed away at his home on Monday, May 6, 2024. He was born in Rhea County on June 14, 1962, the son of Eddie Owensby and Linda (Hurst) Owensby who survive him.

Scott lived in Rhea County all of his life and graduated from Rhea County High School Class of 1980. He was employed at Robinson Manufacturing for 44 years as a Division Ten Supervisor. He loved old cars, helping people, all animals, traveling and was a member of South Dayton Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Candi (Garrison) Owensby of Dayton; his parents, Eddie Owensby and Linda (Hurst) Owensby, both of Dayton; honorary brother, Greg and Pat Perrin of Spring City; honorary sister, Lynn and Eddie Dotson of Dayton; and many cousins.

A Gathering Time to remember Scott will be in the funeral home parlor from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Closet through South Dayton Church of God, 3314 Rhea County Hwy, Dayton, TN 37321.
