Spring City, TN -- On 8/15/24, the Spring City Middle Bulldogs defeated Bledsoe behind strong Performance From Maysa Hampton to run season record to 4-0. Maysa Hampton struck out 13 batters as the hurler led SC past Bledsoe 10-0 on Thursday. Hampton surrendered one hit and zero runs over 5 innings while walking one. Hampton collected 3 hits in three at bats in the win. She tripled in the 1rst inning, singled in the 2nd inning, and doubled in the 4th inning.

SC Bulldogs got on board in the bottom of the 1rst inning after Hampton tripled, and Talaysia Smith grounded out, each scoring 1 run. SC added to their early lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning after Bledsoe committed an error, Hampton singled, Talaysia tripled, and Karley Smith singled, each scoring one run. The Bulldogs added one run in the 3rd, Brynlee Fitzgerald singled on the 6th pitch of the at-bat, making the score 7-0. The Bulldogs collected 8 hits in the game. Hampton threw an immaculate inning in the first, striking out the side on 9 pitches. Ella Mullins stole 2 bases. The Bulldogs welcome Meigs Middle on Monday for their next game.
