May 30, 1948 ~ May 5, 2024 

Roy Lee Rector, age 75, passed away unexpectedly at Rhea Medical Center on Sunday, May 5, 2024.  He was born on May 30, 1948, to Guy and Myrtle Rector Sr.  Roy spent most of his life in Spring City and was of the Baptist faith.  Roy loved going to car shows and working on and restoring old cars.  He had a Dodge Challenger that he loved.  His grandson will drive it in the funeral procession to the cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers; Guy Rector Jr., and Tommy Rector.

Roy is survived by his wife of almost 30 years; Patricia Smith Rector, children; Ed Brady, David and Tiffany Houston and Johnnie and Donald Shoemake, grandchildren; Ben and Evan Brady, Caleb and Connor Houston, Johnathan Shoemake and Kayla Holder, sister; Ann Rector Fine and several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 10, 2024, at 2PM in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.   The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM.  Interment will follow at Spring City Memorial Gardens.
