Lady Eagles Win 6-0 Over Cumberland

Crosssville, TN -- Rhea Middle School Softball opened the 2022 season with a 6-0 shutout of Cumberland on Tuesday August 9, 2022. Carleigh Ashley pitched the one-hut shutout with six strikeouts and one walk. On offense Landree Brown went 3-3 and scored two runs with two singles and a double to lead the way. Reece Brown and Aubrey Reese each had two hits for the Lady Eagles. Also getting hits for Rhea Middle School were Ella Wilkey, Ava Sanders, Keeli Wilson and Presley Bradshaw. The Eagle had 11 hits and 1 walk on the night.

Eagles put together 4 hits in the second for their first two runs with Keeli Wilson and Landree Brown both leading off with singles and it was then Aubrey Reese and Reece Brown with single and double. Wilson and Brown scored. In the third, the Rhea Middle offense scored their final 4 runs for the 6-0 lead they finshed the game with. Ella Wilkey, Ava Sanders, Landree Brown, Aubrey Reese and Presley each had hits for the Lady Eagles with Brown and Bradshaw hitting doubles. Sanders, Brown, Reese and Wilkey scored.

Rhea Middle is next scheduled to play in the Athens Tennesssee Annual Tournament played August 12th through the 13th at the Athens Regional Park on Highway @ 2405 Decatur Pike. Do not have times and opponents at this time.
