Lady Eagles Season Record Drops To 7-3
9/15/25 , Athens, TN -- The Rhea Middle Eagles headed over the river to take on Athens Middle with varsity kicking off at 5pm. The Eagles came out looking to contain and improve over the dominant Athens team but struggled to find their bearings in the first half, allowing 3 goals by halftime. The second half saw the Eagles settle into a much more defensively aggressive team with some offensive passing and drives up the field as well, only allowing 1 goal against in the half, final score 0-4. Eagle’s district record now at 7-3. The JV game followed and unfortunately, the Eagles could not find their groove on their shots. Halftime score was 1-0 for Athens, but in the second half, Athens came out dominating. The Eagles put up a fight, as usual, but the final loss was 0-4. JV record ends at 5-4 for the season. Varsity district season ends by traveling to Lake Forest on Thursday, 9-18-25 for a 6pm kickoff. First round of Varsity playoff games will be held at home on Monday, Sept. 22nd at 6:30pm, opponent TBD. If won, the 2nd round of playoffs will continue on Tuesday, the 23rd, with location and opponent TBD.
