Lady Eagles Win 1-0 Over Cleveland on a goal by Kloe Reeves

Evensville, TN -- Rhea County High School Soccer team hosted Cleveland in the first round of the playoffs and won 1-0 on the strength of a Kloe Reeves goal. The Eagles defense kept Cleveland denying the Lady Raiders a chance at scoring a goal, for the win. With the win, the Lady Eagles will face their biggest district rival Walker Valley in a rematch from a game last week won by Walker Valley 1-0. This should be a great game. Game will be played at Walker Valley at 7 pm on Thursday, 10/10/24 with 7 pm start time scheduled.

Coach Katherine Bradley said, "Yes, we were able to pull out the win over Cleveland on Tuesday securing our spot in the District Championship game tomorrow and the Region Semifinal on Monday".

"Our girls played extremely well and dominated possession the entire game. We took about 30 shots on them. Our back line including Lilli Gardner, Katie Ryan, Keira Graham and Peyton Grahan really held it down on defense. They didn’t allow Cleveland one single shot on goal! Kloe Reeves scored a banger of a goal, with the assist coming from Keira Graham. We had a huge crowd and that really helped keep the girls spirits up giving us a true home field advantage."

"We’re very excited about the District Championship game tomorrow against Walker Valley. Our girls are ready to RISE UP, and bring home the Championship plaque!"
