Pendergrass and Kilby Combine for 5 Hits 2 Runs In Win

Hixson, TN -- On 3/21/25, Rhea County traveled to Hixson High School for a game. Hixson scored 2 runs in the third inning for 2-0 lead. The Eagles plated 1 run in sixth and 2 more in the seventh to earn the win against the 8-1 Hixson team. Reese Pendergrass pitched 6 strong innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits and Kilby pitched 1 perfect inning. Casen Kinney had 2 hits to lead the Eagles and Kinney, Shaver and Schmitt each scored for Rhea County. Rhea County ended the game with 5 hits and no errors. Rhea will host Signal Mountain High School on Monday, 3/24/25, before traveling to Signal Mountain for a rematch on Tuesday, 3/25/25.   R
