RCHS JROTC Raider Teams Finish Well at Warren County Event

Co-Ed Teams Finish 1st and 2nd, Team 2 Finishes 3rd in Rope Bridge

Saturday, September 20, McMinnville, TN

The RCHS JROTC Raider Team traveled to Warren County to compete in their Pioneer Raider Competition against 30 other teams from 20 schools from TN, AL, GA, and KY. The RCHS Raider took three teams: a male team and two co-ed teams to compete in six challenging events that consist of the 1.5 mile Team Run, Physical Team Test, One Line Rope Bridge, ¾ mile Gauntlet, Obstacle Course and ½ mile Cross Country Rescue. Team 1 (Co-ed) placed 1st in obstacle course, 2nd in the physical team test and rope bridge, and 3rd on team run. Team 1 (Co-ed) placed second overall against 18 teams in their Division. Team 2 (Male) placed 3rd in rope bridge and an 8th place overall finish. Team 3 (Co-ed B) placed 4th in the rope bridge with a 12th place overall.

The Raiders now transition focus to prepare for Raider Nationals held at Fort Knox, KY on OCT 23-26. Team 1 (Co-ed) has been invited to compete in the Masters Division while Team 2 (Male) and Team 3 (Female) are high on the Alternate list for the All Services Division.
