RCHS Bowling Wins Over Signal Mountain

Eagles take 17-10 Win

Dayton, Tn -- RCHS Bowling team won 17-10 over Signal Mountain on Thursday night's match held at Crystal Springs Bowling Center in Dayton. This was boys only match as Signal Mountain has no girls' team.

Tanner Gaither and Phillip Rogers led the way for Rhea County with 656 and 643 totals for three games. Phillip had the best game of the night with 265 in game 2 after a subpar 144 in the first game. Tanner was consistent with all three games above the 200 mark with 216,209 and 231 scores. Chase Hoffman continued to improve as he has limited bowling experience but this year he has improved on each match and on Thursday came in with 184.7 average. The boys' team is experienced and three bowlers are above 189 in average with Rogers topping the threw with just over 200 average. C.T. Nance and Tanner Gaither each are just over 189 in average.

After a 17-10 loss to McMinn to begin the year, the Eagles had picked up the pace in the next two matches, with 24-3 and 17-10 wins.

Next two games will be boys only on Saturday and Monday.
