Pamela “Pam” Grant Montgomery, age 71 of Dayton, passed away at Soddy-Daisy Healthcare in Soddy-Daisy on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. She was born in Bryson City, North Carolina on June 8, 1953, the daughter of the late James and Hazel (Sherrill) Grant. She was also preceded in death by her four siblings, Richard Grant, Margaret Way, James Grant, and Wanda Kelley.

Pam moved from Bryson City to Dayton in the mid-1960’s. Although Pam enjoyed doing many things, she truly loved helping in the family business to refinish flooring. She was also an avid NC Tar Heels fan, especially basketball.

Pam is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jim Montgomery of Dayton; her son Chris Grant of Soddy-Daisy; and her brother, Doug Grant of Dayton.

Funeral services for Pam will be in the funeral home chapel on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Way officiating. She will be laid to rest at Rhea Memory Gardens.
