Troy Leland Brady of Houston, TX passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Kindred Hospital surrounded by his wife, Patricia Brady, and loved ones. Troy was born on August 17, 1951, in Dayton Tennessee, where he grew up and lived until he attended college. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) and pursued a few careers until he went back to school to obtain his master’s degree at UTC in Industrial Psychology. He owned his own business in the field of oil and gas, training, and consulting. He traveled across the world bringing back priceless artifacts and wonderful stories of cultures from different continents.
On September 27, 1991, he married Patricia Cauley Brady whom he met at UTC, and they fell in love. The couple was approaching their 33rd wedding anniversary. Troy was a devoted Green Bay Packers and Tennessee Volunteers fan. He enjoyed sailing, fine arts, playing tennis, fishing, pool baseball, and spending time with family. Troy was an avid reader and loved to share his knowledge with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, S.H. Brady Jr., and mother Hazel Revis both of Dayton, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Matha Jo Howell (Ted), brother David Mark Brady and sister-in-law Carlene (Byrd) Brady.
In addition to his wife, Troy was survived by his son, Timothy Brady, and daughter-in-law Buffy Nicole Brady (Marler) of Dayton, TN; grandchildren Kevin (Brooke Coulter), Kaylee (Tyler) Ingram, Kristopher (Sara Jordan), and Dylan, all of Dayton, TN; nieces, Amber Brady, and Jennifer (Johnny) Butler, both of Chattanooga, TN; and eight great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton, TN, Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 1:00PM-3:00PM, internment to follow at Spence Cemetery.
