Margaret Colbaugh age 98 of Dayton passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 in a Rhea County health care facility. She was born on March 12, 1926 in Rhea County, the daughter of the late C.C. Lester and Mary (Thompson) Lester. She was also preceded in death by her husband Floyd “Buddy” Colbaugh, her son, John “Buster” Colbaugh and her brother, John Lester.
Margaret lived all of her life in Rhea and Bledsoe counties. She retired from Robinson Manufacturing after 55 years of service. Margaret was a long time member of the Dayton Church of God…..The Family Church. She loved and served her Lord with all of her heart.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ava Marie (Ron) McAbee of Harriman and Sandra (Greg) Watson of Pikeville, two sisters, Charlotte Garrison of Nashville and Patsy (Jerry) Huskins of Cookeville, one brother, George (Linda) Hancock of Crossville, eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Margaret will be held in the funeral home chapel Monday, May 13, 2024 at five o’clock in the afternoon with her pastors, Rev. Jeff Page and Rev. Darryl Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Chattanooga National Cemetery Tuesday at 11:00am.
