Soddy Daisy, TN -- Carole Ann (Donahoo) Cheek, age 68 of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at her home. She was born in Chattanooga on December 3, 1955, the daughter of W.W. Donahoo and Nina (Kelley) Donahoo of East Ridge.

Carole graduated from East Ridge High School in 1973. She attended UTC, where she excelled in mechanical engineering. Her training led her to work for Astec Engineering for 36 years. She was a member of South Seminole Baptist Church and Flat Top Baptist Church.

Carole leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Clyde “Floyd” Cheek of Soddy-Daisy; her two children, Chris (Jennifer) Cheek of Virginia, and Shelly (Jesse) Wetmore of Soddy-Daisy; her sister, Kelley (Bo) Ferger of Soddy-Daisy; her four grandchildren, Bethany Cheek, Brooke Cheek, Cyrus Wetmore, and Sophia Wetmore; and her niece and nephew, Alexandria Ferger, and Benjamin Ferger.

A graveside funeral service is scheduled for a later date at Rhea Memory Gardens with Rev. Kevin Shelton officiating.
