Noelle finished as 3rd alternate. Camryn Carder won and Bailey McCoy finished as 1st alternate and Adlyn Benoid finished as 2rd alternate. She was one of the three top finishers in scholastics and received a $400.00 scholarship for her 3rd alternate finish.
Noelle answered a few quesiton about her experience this year.
Talk about the experience of competing in the Rhea County Distinguished Young Woman Program.
Noelle said, "I had such a great time participating in the Distinguished Young Women program. I’ve always enjoyed watching the program and have loved being a part of it. I would do it again if I had the chance. I would encourage all upcoming junior girls to participate in this outstanding program."
With the restrictions on gathering were you able to bond with any of the participants this year?
"Even though I did not get to spend much time with all of the girls due to the coronavirus, I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the girls in my group of five. I am so glad I was placed with these particular girls because I had never spent much time with them before. They are so special in their very own way and will go far in life."
How will the DYW experience affect your life going forward through high school and beyond?
"This experience will help me go forth in life by providing confidence and leadership abilities. All of the public speaking and interview skills will definitely help me in my future employment opportunities."
Talk about the people that made this experience possible.
"I appreciate all of the DYW staff and board for putting so much work into this program. hey could have cancelled this program due to COVID-19 but cared enough to give us the chance to experience it. also appreciate my parents and grandparents for all of the encouragement and prayers to help me do my best in the program."
