Evensville, TN -- Makenle Campbell is one of three 2020 Rhea County High School senior softball players who only played one regular season game for the 2020 season. Makenle is the daughter of Melissa Capps and Michael Campbell. Her sisters are MaKayla and Spencer Campbell. MaKenle has played softball for 13 years. She also played soccer for two years and cheered for one year. She primarily played outfield and second base. Makenle will attend Cleveland State plans to enter the world os social work. Makenle answered a few questions about herself and her softball and school years. Makenle celebrated her 18th birthday on May 4, 2020.
What was your favorite softball moment?
"My favorite softball moment was moving to Rhea County, and becoming apart of the Lady Eagles my Junior year. They have became my second family."
Who was your favorite teacher during your school years and why?
"Mrs. Jill Davis, she was always there for me, and helped me in anyway possible!"
What are your hobbies and interests?
I love being outdoors, going shopping, and playing with my dogs."
Did you have a favorite athlete you followed growing?
Yes, that was Monica Abbott."(All-world softball pitcher at University of Tennessee and a great professional softball player)
What do you love most about softball and what do you like the least?
"I love softball the most because it allows me to make friendships that turns into a family. The least thing I like is when a season comes to a end."
What was the impact of losing your senior softball season and last part of your senior year?
"The impact of losing my senior year, and the last part of my senior year has impacted me very much but has taught me many things. To never take anything for granted."
