All Three Seniro Tennis Players Are "Cream of the Crop"
May 28, 2020
Dayton, Tn -- Lil Andrews was dissapointed for her senior tennis players as their senior season was lost to covid-19 shutdown of spring sports. The doubles team of Smith and Ballard were set to go deep in post season. Keeley was set to continue her improvement in her senior season. The Rhea County team and every other tennis and spring sports team had to settle for "what could have been" for 2020.
Lil Andrews talked about the trio. Lil aaid, "As far as tennis goes, Maddie Smith and MaleeKate Ballard have been a package deal for 7 yrs--we call them M&M. They have played doubles together since Middle School and 2020 was to be their crowning attempt at getting to State. They were District Champs their sophomore year, and District Champs and Region finalists their Junior year--one small step from State. MaleeKate had recently overcome a medical challenge, and this year they were poised to do it! They have both had great tennis careers and their singles have been equally exceptional."
"In the past couple years, Keylee Morgan has grown tremendously in her tennis skills and aggressive play--both in singles and doubles. She has been a team leader for the underclassmen. Keylee loves doubles, and was anticipating being able to play post-season doubles for the first time in this, her senior year."
"All three of these Seniors are "cream of the crop" as athletes and, more importantly, as terrific young ladies who are accustomed to giving their best in every part of their lives. They have never disappointed me, and I couldn't be prouder of them--no matter how Tennis 2020 ends up!"
