September 10, 1950 – October 21, 2025

Kathy Monday, 75, of LaGrange, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. She was born in Dayton, Tennessee, on September 10, 1950, to Jeff and Mildred Morrow Day.

Kathy had a true servant’s heart and never met a stranger. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved, and her kindness touched countless lives. She was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother, and the greatest “Granny” ever. Her laughter, her hugs, and her caring spirit will be remembered always.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Mildred Day.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Earl Monday; children, Shona (Roy) Cauthern, James (Monica) Monday, and Kristen Monday; a special daughter, Cheryl Gentry; four brothers, Oral (Brenda) Day of Chattanooga, Eddie Day of Dayton, Richard (Connie) Day of Dayton, and Bill Day of Spring City; grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Jayke Monday; and several nieces, nephews, and friends who were like family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Dr. Roger Rothwell officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery in Evensville, Tennessee.
