January 5, 1971 - June 10, 2024

Jason Allen Edens, age 53 of Dayton, passed away at his home on Monday, June 10, 2024. He was born in Dayton on January 5, 1971, the son of the late Charlie Edens and Vickey (Arnold) Carter who survives him. Jason was also preceded in death by his sister, Jennifer “Nichole” Rice-Cannon.

Jason grew up in Dayton before serving his country in the U.S. Army in Desert Storm as an E4 Specialist. He was employed by Nokian Tyres as a Curring Operator in Dayton.

In addition to his mother, Vickey Carter of Texas, Jason is survived by his son, Josha Edens of Lafayette, GA; his daughter, Jayden Edens of Hope Mills, NC; his step-brother, Luke Edens of Gillette, WY; and his two step-sisters, Rachel Thompson of Gillette, WY, and Sarah Salyer of Wright, WY.

Graveside funeral service with U.S. Army Military Honors for Jason will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Jim Woychuk officiating.
