Gerald “Jerry” Madaris age 80 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Golden Years Retirement Resort.

He was born on August 16, 1943 in Atlanta, Georgia and attended school there. Jerry served in the U.S. Navy, then later moved to Tennessee after marrying his late wife Becky Willingham Madaris. He worked for TVA as a blacksmith for many years. Jerry loved to work in the yard. He also enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. Jerry was of the Methodist faith.

Jerry is also preceded in death by his parents Doyle and Mary Belle Henderson Madaris, and his sister Sandra Madaris.

Survivors include his children Lene (David) Hankins of Spring City, Tennessee and Starr (Mark) Daugherty of Knoxville, Tennessee; his sister Lisa Prather of Lake Okeechobee, Florida; his three grandchildren Ashton Hoffman, Bella Hoffman, and Katlynn Daugherty; and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
