Fannie Marie Stewart, age 78 of Megis County, Tennessee lost her battle with lung cancer on January 5, 2025, at Hospice of Chattanooga.
Fannie was a loving person and loved by many. She welcomed everyone with love and open arms. She was friendly to all. She was sassy, fun loving, and a huge Kid Rock fan. She also had a love for her monkeys. She was a survivor of breast and kidney cancer. Her strength to fight was remarkable. She has left a legacy of courage and willingness for her family by the many struggles she endured in her life and conquered them all. She will be missed and cherished by all who knew her.
Fannie is preceded in death by her parents Jay (Willie Mae) Gibson of Dayton, Tn and Ruby (Gene) Campbell of Dayton, Ohio. A sister Nannie Mae Jones of Chattanooga Tn. A son Eugene Hickman of Dayton, her granddaughters Malia Wilson of Dayton Ohio, and Taneka Beck of Cleveland, Tn. A great grandson Elias Martin of Dunlap and Bobby Hickman of Dayton, Tn.
Survivors include her children; Jerry Hickman of Pikeville, Tn, George (Christina) Lovins of Spring City, Tn, Robin Wilson of Dayton, Ohio, Kathy Sneed of Hamlin, West Virginia, Felix Sneed of Dayton, Tn. Tracy (Brian) Pankey of Dayton, Tn., and Crystal (John) Martin of Meigs County, Tn. A Brother Jessie (Cindy) Gibson of Dayton, Tn. Thirty-three grandchildren and Fifty six great grandchildren. Special nieces Nancy Collins of Hamlin, Manchester, KY, Missy Icenhower of Hamlin, West Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. And her best friend Molly Sneed.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the Hospice of Chattanooga, nurses Whitney, Amber and Charity or the outstanding care they provided.
The family will receive friends and family Friday January 10, 2025, from 5:00PM till 8:00PM and Saturday January 11, 2025, from 11:00Am till 2:00PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 11, 2025, at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Pam Johnson officiating.
A burial will follow in the Sneed Family cemetery in Cranmore Cove.
