Ernest "Ernie" Fredregill age 89 of Evensville, Tennessee died on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at his residence.

He was born March 10, 1935 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Ernest E. and Audrey Stutsman Fredregill and has lived in this area since 1990. Ernie attended school at Indiana Valparaiso Tech College. He spent his working career as an engineer with I.B.M. He retired in 1989 after 33 years. Ernie enjoyed bowling, all sports and even won two medals as a participant in the Senior Olympics. He loved animals and was considered by many as an "unsung genius".

Ernie is also preceded in death by his brother Herbert Fredregill, and his sisters Clothiel Steinbacher and Lillian Finkel.

Survivors include his wife Peggy Fredregill of Evensville, Tennessee; his children Audrey (Roy) Gordon of Columbus, Ohio, Daniel (Lou Ann) Fredregill of Evensville, Tennessee, Susan Graniera of Allons, Tennessee, and Beth (Greg) Jenkins of Austin, Arkansas; his sisters Carol Williams of Monticello, Indiana and Nancy Blevins of Mill Creek, Indiana; his 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

There will be no services or visitation.

The family asks that donations be given to Rhea County Animal Shelter Alliance, 9118 Back Valley Road, Evensville, Tennessee 37332 in his memory.
