Eli Everett Signs With Cleveland State

Eli Will Compete in Golf and Study Business

Evensville, TN -- Eli Everett recently signed a scholarship offer with Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tennessee. Eli had competed for Rhea County High School golf team for the last four years. He has a 3.7 GPA.

His favorite memories were preseason tournament every year, competing at the state tournament and spending time with friends and family. He would like to start his own business after graduation or possibly work as club pro.

Eli played some basketball and soccer as other sports before concentrating of golf at the high school level. His favvorie golfer is definitely Justin Thomas. Eli carries a mixed bag with ping, Titeist and Callaway clubs.

When asked what he considers his strengths in his game, Eli said, "I would definitely consider my short game my strength. anytime I have a wedge in my hand, I am pretty confident, but everything needs to get better. I feel like I can always improve and that drives me to work extra hard to be the best I can."

Rhea County golf coach John Walker said, "He(Eli) is one of the hardest working kids I have been around. Whatever he wants to do with his life, he will be successful because of his work ethic."

"I have really enjoyed being around Eli for the last four year and he was a kid that was glad to be on the team freshman year,but as sophomore, junior and senior, he was finishing 4th in region, 3rd in region."
