Dale Dixon Jr. age 75 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on August 24, 1948 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to the late Dale L. and Virginia Bennett Dixon Sr. Dale went to school in Pennsylvania and joined the United States Marine Corp. He attended college and earned his Bachelor’s degree. Dale spent most of his career working as an engineer, primarily for TVA-Watts Bar. He had lived in this area for 12 years after moving here from California. Dale loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed wildlife, the Pittsburg Steelers, and Jeff Gordon NASCAR. Dale was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his wife Peggy Dixon of Spring City, Tennessee; his children William Dixon, Michelle Andrews, and Heather Phillipson all of Michigan, and Stephanie Royal of Ohio; his brothers Bryan, Dennis, and David Dixon all of Pennsylvania; his sisters Belinda Showalter and Tammy Baker both of Pennsylvania and Lisa Muir; and his six grandchildren Tyler, Penelope, Jude, Cora, Nolan, and Kiera.

Funeral services with military honors will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 8, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Vaughn Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to Rhea County Animal Shelter Alliance, 9118 Back Valley Road, Evensville, Tennessee 37332 in his memory.
