Carol Ann Montgomery, age 78 of Dayton passed away December 27, 2024 in Rhea County. She was born in Roane County on September 10, 1946 the daughter of the late Homer and Lucille (Baker) Dagnan. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Catherine Montgomery, infant daughter Tommie Montgomery and her brother David Bell.

Carol was a graduate of Spring City High School and had attended the Graysville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Tommy Montgomery, her son, John Montgomery, daughters, Tammie Johnson and Meredith Montgomery all of Dayton, her daughter Elizabeth Montgomery of Kingston, five grandchildren, Christian (Jordan) Montgomery, Hunter Scoons, Olivia Johnson, Gabe (Brittany Clark) Tyrrell, Caroline Montgomery and three great-grandchildren, Peyton Parsons, Violet Montgomery and Sawyer Tyrrell.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 30, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Fields officiating.

The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home where they will receive friends one hour before the service.
