Bulldogs Finishes Unbeated Regular Season in 2025

Spring City Football Wins 34-0 Over CAK

Spring City scored six points in first quarter and then 12 and 16 points in 2nd and 3rd to take 34-0 lead, which remained until end of game. Spring City lost 8-0 to CAK at John Mincy Field last season. CAK came into game with loss against Lenoir City 40-24, the week before in Loudon Tennessee.

Spring City kicked off to CAK(Christian Academy of Knoxville) and CAK recovered the ball in Bulldog territory and looked to be at first and goal but penalty brought ball back to erase big gain. Warriors did not convert on 4th down and Spring City took over at their 40-yard line and gave ball back to CAK on fumble at the 43-yard line. CAK broke a big play to move to the 17-yard line. A ten yard gain gave Warriors first and goal at 7. Bulldogs defense held again and took over on downs at their own five yard line.

Myles Vineyard sandwiched 2 good runs around a Spencer Campbell run to move the ball to 42 and then Collen Groce ran the ball to the 23-yard line, where Spencer Campbell took it the rest of the way for the touchdown. Score remained at 6-0 with 23 seconds left in quarter after CAK stopped conversion attempt.

Warriors recovered the kickoff at their won 40-yard line. Big loss on first play lost Warriors 10 thanks to defense of Myles Vineyard. Campbell forced a throw with almost sack of quarterback forcing a punt that forced a punt. Campbell took the punt down to the 4-yard line. Warrior's defense didn't make it easy, but on third down Campbell found the end zone from 11 yard out for 12-0 lead for Bulldogs. A failed conversion left Bulldogs with 12-0 lead with 5:30 left in second quarter.

Warriors brought the kick back to midfield and a big pass play on first and only play of series was nice completion that ended with Spencer Campbell's fumble recovery at Bulldogs' 28-yard line. Pass to Campbell moved the ball to the 43-yard line. Campbell's next target turned to a defensive play as Warriors picked off the pass and Campbell made the tackle at the Warriors' 37-yard line. Warriors went long but Collyn Groce was there for the interception at the Bulldogs' 32-yard line. Groce needed one play to score as he found a clear path to end zone around the right end for the 64-yard touchdown. Bulldogs went 0-3 with a failed conversion pass, but maintained the 18-0 lead.

CAK began drive at their 40 after kickoff went out-of-bounds. Warriors punted from their 42-yard line and Bulldogs called fair-catch at their own 38-yard line with 1:28 left in half. Warriors came up with interception at midfield and returned ball to the 19 of the Bulldogs. Warriors turned the ball over on downs and Campbell had one nice run before halftime horn sounded with Spring City up 18-0.

Bulldogs' second half kick went out-of-bounds to setup Warriors at their 47-yard line. Bulldogs came up with interception by Collyn Groce at the Bulldogs' 28-yard line. Groce rambled 72 yards on first play of drive for 24-0 lead by Bulldogs. Campbell was successful on 2-point conversion for 26-0 lead.

Short kick by Bulldogs was returned to midfield. Warriors turned ball over on downs at the Bulldogs 44-yard line. One play touchdown for Spencer Campbell was negated by hold to move ball back to the 34-yard line of Bulldogs. Campbell gained 11 and Myles Vineyard added 15 more on next carry to the 41 of Warriors. Campbell carried to the 25 for another first down. Campbell went right, but decided to go left instead as he made a couple of nice moves on his way to the touchdown for 32-0 lead. Easton Fuller found Cayden Jolley for the last points of the night on the 2-point conversion and a 34-0 score that would be the final. Titan Houston came up with an interception on last play of game.

Congrats to Player of the Game, Collyn Groce, with 4 rushes for 181 yards(45 yards per run), 2 touchdowns, a fumble recovery and 2 interceptions on the night. Congrats to Spring City on an unbeaten 8-0 regular season for 2025.
