May 29, 1946 ~ July 6, 2025 

Brenda Kay Nixon Hickman, 79, of Spring City, TN, passed away July 6, 2025. She was born to the late Charles and Nora Nixon in Dayton, TN May 29, 1946. Brenda was of the Christian faith and loved her Lord and family deeply.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Nora Gentry Nixon; three children, Jimmy, Tracy, and Mark Hickman; one sister, Bonnie Williams; and two brothers, Chuck and James Lowell Nixon.

Ms. Hickman is survived by her sisters, Donna (James) Thompson and Janice Whitfield; two brothers, Tony (Judy) and Arnold (Susan) Nixon; grandchildren, Kevin Hickman, Destiny Hickman, Joseph Thurman, Reba Holcombe, Nic Corder, and Autumn Johnson; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Leffew, Arthur Hickman, and Bentley Rice; two special daughters, Kathy Hickman and Heather Tallent; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Brenda will be held at 2PM, Wednesday, July 9, 2025, in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Filyaw officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until service time. Interment will follow in French Cemetery
