Fraser Vipond Obituary

July 15, 1942 - October 10, 2024

Fraser Vipond, 82, of Dayton, TN, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 10, 2024. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Fraser cherished his family and found joy in spending time with them. He shared 61 wonderful years with his wife, Diane, and was a faithful father to his four children. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially being outdoors on his John Deere tractor.

Fraser dedicated 40 years to ministry as a pastor, retiring in 2010. His love for the Lord was evident in his bold witness, and he took great delight in seeing people come to faith. An incredible athlete, Fraser had a lifelong passion for sports, continuing to play softball well into his 60s.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Bruce and Gertrude May Nolff Vipond.

Fraser is survived by his wife, Diane Vipond; his children: Todd Vipond of Traverse City, MI, Stephanie (David) Sekura of Dayton, TN, Darcie (Adam) Thomas of Suwanee, GA, and Chris Vipond of Guam; two brothers, Douglas Vipond of Detroit, MI, and Jim (Diann) Vipond of Kalkaska, MI; four grandchildren: Ben Vipond, Allison Sekura, Grace Thomas, and Lauren Thomas; and two nieces, Sasha Miller and Somer Vipond.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home, followed by a service at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Reverend David Sekura and Lebron Purser. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Manderley Christian Camp at manderley.camp.
