Lady Eagles Win 7-0 Over White County

Evensville, TN -- Rhea County High Shcool Lady Eagles soccer team won 7-0 on Senior Night vs White County. The Lady Eagles also took time to honor 6 seniors. Always nice to get a win on "Senior Night" and Lady Eagles were concincing with 7 goals scored. Junior Sophie White and Sophmore Shalie Needham each scored two goals to show promise for the future. Seniors McKinley Mathis(the goalkeep normally), Macy Swafford and Madison Edwards each scored a goal to contribute to the 7 goals. Assisting on goals were Sophie White(3), Emma Reeves and Michaela Reeves. Lady Eagles will return home against Ooltewah on October 6th.
The six seniors honored were: 00 McKinley Mathis, #6 Catlin King, # 8 Madison Edwards, # 10 Macy Swafford, # 21 Kinsley Ervin and #24 Halie Stewart.
McKinley Mathis is duaghter of Randy and Jamie Mathis. She plans to play college softball at Vol State after graduation . This is her first year of soccer. She thanked the coaches and team for taking her in. "I wihs I would have played sooner."
Catline King is daughter of Jonathan and Amanda King. After high school, she wants to graduate college and become a pediatric nurse practioner. She was very appreciate of the team and coaches for being there for her. "I love your girls and I am always here to talk".
Madison Edwards was escorted by Stephanie Sherrill. After college she plans to go into social work. She loves all the girls and the laughs and fun times they shared. She thanks all the coaches for being an ear and encouraging.
Macy Swafford was escorted by Kasndi Self. Macy plant to go to college and pursue a career as in Radiation Oncology. She also runs track. She fondly remembers her freshman year team trip to Gatlinburg. She was so appreciative to coaches for their encouragement and the team for their friendships.
Kinsley Ervin was secorted by Adam, christie and Kaylee Ervin. She plans to attend University of Tennessee Knoxville and study psychology or art. She attends Grove Church and is on yearbook staff, member of Rhea County Academic Champions and is on National Art Society. She knows that her teammates are more than than. They are friends. She has enjoyed her three years and thanks the coaches for always being such good examples.
Halie Stewart is daugher of Tim and Angela Stewart. She is looking to attend Chattanoog State and major in Dental Hygeine. She treasures her memories with her team. She joined the soccer team as a sophomore and the friendships.
