On March 14, 2026, several members of the Spring City Lions Club joined the Watts Bar Lake Association’s Annual Shoreline Clean-Up to help protect one of our community’s greatest natural treasures—Watts Bar Lake.
The team collected:
Approximately 100 pounds of trash and debris
Five discarded tires weighing about 100 pounds

These numbers represent just the debris collected by our Lions team. Dozens of volunteers from across the community also worked along the shoreline in Spring City today to help keep our lake clean and beautiful.
As Lions, we are guided by our Core Value of Commitment to Service: “We are responsive to the needs of our communities and the world we share. We seek to bring positive change to the people we serve and the places we call home.”

Protecting our environment is one of the global causes of Lions Clubs International, and we are proud to do our part to care for the places we call home.
Thank you to the Watts Bar Lake Association and all of the volunteers, partners, and sponsors who made today’s clean-up possible. When communities work together, great things happen!
