Spring City Opens Playoffs With 46-20 Win

Spencer Campbell Leads Bulldogs with 173 Yards Total Offense

Spring City, TN -- 10/2/25 -- Spring City hosted North Middle from Lenoir City to open the 2025 football playoffs. Spring City

Spring City received the opening kickoff and Bulldogs returned b all to the 44 yard-line of North Middle. Spencer Campbell had 2 long runs that put the Bulldogs at the five yard-line, before he finished the drive with 5-yard touchdown. Bulldogs added 2-point conversion by Myles Vineyard for early 8-0 lead.

Vineyard made nice tackle on kickoff return at the 37 yard-line of North Middle. Collyn Brock sacked North Middle's quarterback to setup 4th down at their 36 yard-line. Bulldogs took over on the 46 after incomplete pass after big pressure by Aiden Roberts.

Myles Vineyard and Collyn Brock had nice long runs before Vineyard scored short touchdown run. Campbell added the 2-point conversion for 16-0 lead. North brought the short kick back to the 44 yard-line. On second play of possession a bad snap ended up on ground and Aiden Roberts came up with loose ball at North Middle's 35 yard-line. Myles Vineyard had big run during the drive and he finished the drive with short touchdown run and added the 2-point conversion run for 24-0 lead early in the 2nd quarter.

North Middle began their possession at their 35 yard-line. Spencer Campell put an end to the North Middle drive with interception at the Bulldogs' 40 yard-line. Campbell came within an outreached hand of taking the ball to the endzone but had to settle for a nice run to the 20 yard-line of North Middle and penalty took ball down to the 8 yardline. Easton Fuller found Collyn Brock all alone in endzone on the touchdown pass. Cayden Jolley added 2-point conversion on pass from Fuller and Bulldogs led 32-0.

North Middle began possession on their 43 yard-line. Bulldogs had nice tackle for a loss by Vineyard and Daniels. Bulldogs got the ball on a turnover-on-downs at the 47 yard-line. On second play of drive, Fuller found Campbell for 48 yard touchdown pass. Fuller found Jolley for the 2-point conversion for the 40-0 lead as halftime approached.

Aiden Roberts made the tackel on the Panther returneer at the Norht 45 yard-line. On first play of drive, North scored on 55 yard touchdown run. Bulldogs defense turned away the 2-point conversion attempt to maintain 40-6 lead late in 2nd quarter.

Collyn Brock added a touchdown for the first half for 46-6 halftime lead.

North Middle received the kickoff and returned ball to 40 yard-line. The took the ball 60 yard for a touchdown to cut lead to 46-12.

Spring City received the kickoff as the 3rd quarter ended, and began possession on their own 37 yard-line. Bulldogs punted and Ian Hickman came up with the fumble by the punt-returner at the 39 yard-line of North Middle. Bulldogs turned the ball over to North Middle. North Middle had a 45 yard run for the touchdown and added 2-point conversion to make score 46-20.

Bulldogs began next possession on the North Middle 49 after recovering the onside kick. A couple of penalties moved the ball back to 40 and on 4th down, Spencer Campbell stepped back into punting position, but it was a fake and Campbell went 20 yards for the first down on the run and Bulldogs ran out the clock and were headed to championship game next week vs Norris.

Spencer Campbell had 8 rushed for 125 yards, 1 reception for 48 yards for a total of 173 yards and 2 touchdowns, one receiving and one rushing. Campbell also had a 2-point conversion run. Campbell also had an interception and 8 tackles on the night. For his night's work, Campbell is the "Player of the Game".

Collyn Brock(Groce) rushed for 48 yards on 8 carries and caught 1 pass for 10 yards, while scoring 2 touchdowns. Collyn had 2 2-point conversions. Collyn had 8 tackles and a sack on the night.

Myles Vineyard rushed for 42 yards on 7 carries with 2 touchdowns and he scored on 2 2-point conversions. He had 6 tackles and a sack on the night.

Easton Fuller was a perfect 4 for 4 passing with 64 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Also accumulating tackle totals were Aiden Roberts 7, Casey Curtins 2, Brantley Miller 1.5, Cayden Jolley 1.5, Kenzlee Walker 1, Trey Daniels .5 and Corbin Zaffis .5.
