Rhea Travels to Notre Dame For Week 2 Football

Rhea County Football fresh off their dramatic 10-7 win over Red Bank are back on the road tonight with 7 pm kickoff at Notre Dame, who is coming off a 73-0 win at Grace Christian. Notre Dame had several long plays and benefited from 2 pick six plays in the win, with Trell Taylor and Colton Deprima taking the intercepts home for six. Talk about a balanced attack, the Fighting Irish threw for 235 and ran for 236. Team has explosive runners and had several nice throws over the middle for touchdowns. Defensive Coordinator Brandon Ashby said "This team runs a fast paced offense, we will have to be ready"

Freshman Michael Woodley had 67 yards on 2 carries for a touchdown and caught 1 pass for 67 yards and a touchdown. Senior Cooper Campbell quarterback went 7 for 8 for 203 yards and 5 touchdowns. Jacorrion Tramble had 4 catches for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns. Junior Dremel Green ran twice for 65 yards and caught 1 pass for 40 yards. Senior Caleb Green carried ball 3 times for 33 yards. Junior Ryan Fillauer cornerback/receiver had 16 catches for 281 yards last year. Junior Miles Carter lead Notre Dame with 5 tackles, 2 for loss..

Common opponent this year will be Lakeway Christian.

Coach Brent Hill is in his 15th year of coaching, 2nd at Notre Dame. Last season Fighting Irish went 1-9.

Rhea top players for the Red Bank game were Mason Ford with 15 carries for 75 yards and touchdown, Aiden Wilkerson with 2 returns for 63 yards and Austun Fugate with 43 yard field goal, 6 tackles and 2 intercepts.
