Helen Cranfill, age 82, of Dayton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. She was born in Dayton on August 21, 1942, to Pearl Dewey and Lefa Weller.
Helen was a lifelong member of Ogden Baptist Church in Dayton. She loved reading, visiting yard sales, and spending time with her church family, whom she cherished deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Lee Roy Cranfill; her brothers, Leonard Beecher and Pete Weller; and her sisters, Barbara Cranfill and Rebecca Mize.
Helen is survived by her sons, Chris (Tammy) Cranfill of Dayton and Louis (Lori) Cranfill of Hixson, Tennessee. She also leaves behind three grandchildren: Natasha (Jeff) Keith, Christopher-Aaron (Anne) Cranfill, and Lindsey; five great-grandchildren: Drake (Addie) Keith, Asher Cranfill, Klair Cranfill, Allie Stuckey, and Eva Stuckey; and one great-great-granddaughter, Vivienne Leffew.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home, with Brother Jimmy Jewell officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
Helen will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Lee Roy Cranfill, in Ogden Cemetery.
