Eva Faye Wells, age 81, passed away at The Lantern Assisted Living on February 1, 2025. She was born in Dayton, Tennessee, on May 19, 1943, to the late Earl and Helen Price DeVault.
Eva was a devoted homemaker for most of her life, finding great joy in caring for her family and her home. She had a deep love for people, nature, and gardening, often tending to her plants and offering a kind word to those around her. Known for her warmth and generosity, Eva was always the first to offer help to anyone in need. Though soft-spoken and gentle, she could also be a real "spitfire" when the situation called for it, standing up for what she believed in with strength and conviction.
Eva is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Helen Price DeVault; her son, G. Larry Wells, Jr.; her brother, Roy DeVault; and her sister, Opal Atnip.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Wells Jones and husband Scott of Hixson, TN; three grandchildren, Chloe Jones of Seattle, WA, and Hunter and Rylan Jones of Hixson; husband, George L Wells.
A celebration of Eva’s life will be held at a date and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America at dementiasociety.org; P.O. Box 600 Doylestown, PA 18901.
