Joan Reavley, 87, a life-long resident of Sale Creek passed away at Solomon’s House in Red Bank, TN on January 21, 2025.
She was a member of the Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department and was a former Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). She worked in several hosiery mills in the Rhea County area.
She was preceded in death by her parents Coy Denton Iles and Irene Pendergrass Iles, her husband Jack Reavley, a son Jacky Reavley, and a brother John Iles, all of Sale Creek.
Joan is survived by two children, Tony (LuAnne) Reavley and Mandy (Marc) Bailey of Sale Creek. She is also survived by a sister, Linda (Jerry) Seely of Chattanooga, TN and a daughter-in-law, Carol Reavley of Sale Creek. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Preston (Laurabeth) Reavley, Makinzie (Josh) Petty, Baileigh (Jacob) Davis, Jackson (Kirstie) Bailey, and Cooper Bailey, and great grandchildren; Emberleigh Reavley, Augusta and Champ Davis.
A graveside service will be held at Welsh-Rogers Cemetery in Sale Creek, Tennessee on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 1PM with Pastor Toby Brogden officiating. The family will receive friends at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton, TN on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 4 PM -9 PM.
The family would like to thank the Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Hamilton County EMS, Dr. Beasley and his staff, and the nursing staff of the CCU at Memorial Hospital for their professionalism and loving care. Also, a special thanks to Hearth Hospice and the staff of Solomon’s House in Red Bank.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department or to the Children’s Playground fund at Lake Drive Baptist Church in Sale Creek
