Eagles Wins 59-42 Over Central in "Battle At Creek" Tournament
Evensville, TN -- Rhea County won over Central High School 59-42 over Chattanooga Central in their opening game in the "Battle At the Creek" annual Christmas Tournament run by Sale Creek High School. Rhea and Central battled in a close game through much of the first half and the game was tied 24-24 with 2:48 left in the 2nd quarter before a 6-0 run gave Eagles a 30-24 halftime lead. Rhea moved the lead to double figures at end of the 3rd quarter 47-35 and finished the game with a 59-42 win. Sammy Ervin and Caleb Carr led the Eagles with 15 points each.

12/17/24 Evensville, TN -- Rhea County hosted Loudon on December 17, 2024 The Eagles lost 72-63 to Loudon who used a 37 point outburst from Jayden Capshaw, highlighted by 16 point 4th quarter, for the win. The Eagles were led by Braylon Geer with 19 points.
The Eagles and Loudon battled to a 15-13 lead for Loudon after one quarter. Rhea took the lead in the 2nd quarter with a 16-11 advantage to lead 29-26 at halftime. Loudon hit on five 3-point baskets to fuel their run to retake the lead 46-42 after 3 quarters. It was then Capshaw who fended off the Eagles with 16 fourth quarter points, including 10 for 10 from the free throw line. Loudon hit on 14-16 free throws in the 4th quarter.
