Billy Thurman Rogers, age 66, of Dayton, Tennessee, passed away on November 15, 2024, at Erlanger Health System.
Billy was born on June 2, 1958, to Jack Roscoe Rogers and Katherine Johnson Rogers, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his stepdaughter, Amanda Paige Bivens.
Throughout his life, Billy was known for his love of the outdoors and his artistic nature. He worked as a truck driver, first hauling transfer and logging trucks, a job that took him across the country and gave him a sense of adventure. Billy also had a deep passion for drawing, which was a creative outlet he treasured. In addition, he worked at Dixie Savings Store for many years, where he formed lasting friendships with those he served.
Billy's greatest pride, however, was his family. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Bivens Rogers, and his children: Billy-Jack Rogers, Jonathan (Johnny) Rogers, Becky Rogers, and Jordan (Max) Creasman. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Angela Bivens Whitner, brothers Ronnie Rogers and Jeff (Wendy) Rogers, and sister Melissa (Wayne) Hickman. Billy was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, along with several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Pastor Caleb Bolton officiating. Interment will be at Burchard Cemetery.
Billy will be remembered for his warm heart, his strong work ethic, and his love for his family and the simple pleasures in life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
