Evensville, Tennessee - Rhea County Soccer honored 13 seniors on the 2021 team on senior night recently. These young students put an end to their athletic and academic career with Rhea County High School and move on to the next stage of their life.

Many of these young men began roaming the soccer fields of Rhea County and beyond many years ago as youth, with Mom and Dads ferrying them all around. Now they have made their last trip to the soccer field at Rhea County High School and will be moving on to the next step in their lives, whether it be in the classroom, in service to their country or their chosen career field. Some will continue their dream to play soccer at the next level.

Thanks to these young men, who finished strong this season, with a district tournament title and a valiant effort in region tournament this week. Best of luck as you move on in life.

Head coach Justin Smith shared his thoghts on this senior class. "This is a special group, over their career they have amassed 45 varsity wins, even with losing their junior season to Covid (the career record is 49 wins). This group has advanced every year into regional play and once into substate, so they really have ushered us into a new era for our program and have set a new standard of expectations. Before their freshmen year, we had never advanced past the district semifinal game. I love this group of guys and I am extremely proud of how hard they have worked to get our program to the level it is at, but I am even more proud of the young men they have become and for the great things they will do."
