Lockerby Brings 31 Years Experience To Rhea County

8/5/24 -- Evensville, TN -- Ted Lockerby, 54, Defensive Line Coach begins his 1st season at Rhea County football. Lockerby brings 31 years' experience in coaching; He holds a position of ISS(In School Suspension) at Rhea County High School. He has 17 years' experience teaching history. Ted is married to Andrea and they have 2 adult children, Clark and Camden. Both played football in high school and Clark is also on the RCHS football staff and Camden is enrolled at Tennessee Tech University.

Ted Lockerby began his coaching career at Tennessee Tech University in 1993. His most recent coaching position was as Defensive Coordinator with Red Bank High School. Ted coached five years as head coach at Walker Valley High School, leaving in 2011. He has coached defensive backs, defensive line and linebackers over the years. He was defensive coordinator at Tennessee Tech University and Red Bank High School.

Mr. Lockerby graduated from Bradley Central High School in 1988 and attended Tennessee Tech University, where he played football. In 1993, he graduated with Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He later obtained a Masters-Education/History Certification in 1996.

In high school, Ted played defensive back and wide receiver and also played defensive back at Tennessee Tech for 4 years.
