SCMS Varsity Boys Win 30-24 on Road

Dayton, TN -- Spring City Middle overcame a slow first half with a 23-13 advantage in the second halft for a 30-24 win on the road at Dayton City School. Coach Bill Chattin's team won the third period 10-2 to take the lead 17-13 over the Sweatbees andf held on for the 30-24 win. Mack Chattin and Chayce Smith shared the leading scoring duties with 8 points each and Jayden Fitzgerald and Teed Cunningham each contributed 6 points for the Bulldogs. Halston Shaver had 9 points to lead the Sweatbees and Landon Hallman and Cason Kinnery added 6 and 5 points respectively. Dayton City will host Whitwell on Thursday, November 17th with first varsity game at 6 pm. Spring City hosts Tellico with boys jv at 5 pm and varsity girls and boys to follow.
In Junior Varsity actions, Dayton City won 23-15 over the Bulldogs. Bodie marchetti led the Bulldogs.
