Maysa Hampton Strikes Out 15 in 3-0 Win over Stone Memorial Middle School

Spring City Lady Bulldogs Defeat Stone Memorial Middle School Behind Strong Performance From Maysa Hampton! Maysa Hampton was dominant on the mound, as the starting pitcher rang up 15 strikeouts in Spring City Lady Bulldogs's 3-0 victory over Stone Memorial Middle School on Friday. Maysa gave up one hit and zero runs over six innings while walking none.

Both teams were strong in the circle. Spring City Lady Bulldogs pitchers struck out 15, while Stone Memorial Middle School sat down 15. An inside the park home run by Ella Wilkey on an 0-2 count put Spring City Lady Bulldogs on the board in the bottom of the first.

Spring City Lady Bulldogs added one run in the third after Ella Wilkey singled after a 6-pitch at-bat. #18 began the game for Stone Memorial Middle School. They gave up three hits and three runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out 15 and walking one. Ella Wilkey led Spring City Lady Bulldogs with two hits in two at bats and Dylan Dyle contributed with a hit of her own. #14 led Stone Memorial Middle School with one hit in three at bats.

The Lady Bulldogs prevously played very well in Athens Tennessee Annual Preseason Softball Tournament on August 11-12th. Lady Bulldogs went 3-1, were placed in the Gold bracket, scored 27 runs, and had a team on-base percentage of .494.
