Alex Shaver holds Lady Pirates to 1 Run While Striking Out 14

Hixson, TN -- Rhea County played South Pittsburg in Tournament play in Hixson on Thursday, 3/20/25. The Lady Eagles jumped out to 3-1 lead after one inning and added two insurance runs in the fifth on their way to 5-1 win behind Allie Shaver, who struck out 14 and gave up 1 unearned run.. Lakyn Lockhart went 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored and four other Lady Eagles had hits in the game, including Shaver, Tallent, L. Brown and Wilson. Tallent had 2 RBI to lead Rhea in that category. Wilson and Tallent also had doubles on the night. Lady Eagles will be back in action on Monday night at home vs Cookeville with varsity and junior varsity action beginning at 6 pm.
