Rockwood, TN -- On Thursday, 3/27/25, Rhea County High School softball traveled to Rockwood for a game vs Rockwood High School. The Eagles brought a 5-1 lead into the 5th and exploded for 11 runs in the last 2 innings for the win. The Lady Eagles used 14 hits and 8 walks to score 17 runs, their season high. Three Lady Eagles had 3 hits each. Ella Wilkey led all Lady Eagles with 4 hits and Lakyn Lockhart and Brook Tallent added 3 hits. Lockhart, Wilkey, Shaver and Tallent scored 3 runs each. Brook Tallent and Allie Shaver each went yard for Rhea. Ella Wilkey had 2 doubles. Lakyn Lockhart(2), Aubrey Reese, Liberty Raymer and Galilee Rayer each had stolen bases for Rhea County. Shaver and Tallent each drove in 3 runs. Pitching was strong for Lady Eagles with Bristal Hennessey picking up the win with 6 strong innings. She gave up 2 runs on 5 hits while striking out 9. Hennesseey had 54 strikes in 93 pitches on the night and walked 3 batters.
