Lady Eagle Softball Led by Byrge with 3 Hits: Miller Limits SCMS to 3 Runs

Spring Ciity, TN -- Rhea Middle had a road win at county rival Spring City on Monday night, winning 6-3 behind the offense of Briley Byrge and the pitching of Saddie Miller. Byrge had 3 hits, including a double and a triple on the night and accounted for 4 RBI. Saddie Miller limited Spring City to 3 runs(2 ER), on 4 hits while striking out 4 and walking 4. Deliah Johnson had a 2 hit day for Lady Eagles and 4 other Lady Eagles had hits on the day. Lady Eagles used a big 3 run top of the 4th to take a 6-2 lead and shut down the Lady Bulldogs in bottom of 5th for the 6-3 win. With the win, the Lady Eagles go to 7-5 and Spring City falls to 6-2 on the season.

Maysa Hampton, Ella Mullins, Abbagayle Buffenbarger and Sienna Fisher accounted for the 4 hits for Spring City. Hampton pitched 5 innings, giving up 6 runs(4 ER) and 6 hits while striking out 8 and walking 3.
