September 17, 2020 Dayton, TN --  Rhea Middle won 22-12 in a Thursday night game played in Dayton on September 17, 2020.  Both teams lost significant talent from last year's team and coaches expressed their patience with their teams as players continue to improve.  Rhea Middle was looking to get a little revenge for last year's 28-22 loss at home. Datyon moved the ball up the field, thanks to nice pass from Geer to Brannen and some tough running.  Sweatbee drive bogged and facing 4th and 11, quarterback Braylon Geer found Chauncey Odum down the right sideleline for the 30 yard gain to setup Dayton at the five yard line.  Ace Robinson got the last five yards and evened the score at 6-6 but Dayton did not convert the two point conversion to leave the game tied 6-6 with 1:11 left until halftime.  Eagles got the ball with little time, but did not needd much as they used a nice run by Kris McGinnes before Makye Hyatte found the end zone again on a long 50 plus yard run with 37 seconds left until half.  Eagles punched in the two point conversion run for 14-6 halftime lead after Dayton was unbale to move the ball with the last drive of the half. Dayton City got the ball first in the second half.  Quarterback Braylon Geer and Chauncey Odum hooked up for another long pass play that ended with Sweatbees at the 26 yard line of Rhea Middle.  Dayton came up just short as 4th and goal pass was complete to the one half yard line and turned ball over to Rhea Middle. Over the next few minutes, the Eagles drove downt he field on a 99 yard touchdown drive with big runs by McGinnes and Hyatte.  McGinnes finished the drive with short touchdown run and then added the 2 point conversion to put Rhea Middle up 22-12 with 3:12 left in fourth quarter.
