Eagles and Lady Eagles Finish 3rd at Cumberland County Meet

Rhea County High School Track and Field team registered a third place finish at the Cumberland County High School Last Chance Meet in Crossville on Thursday, 4/20/23. Stone Memorial won the boys competition and Livingston Academy won the girls' competition. Eagles and Lady Eagles had some very good performances on the day with 7 first place finishes. The 4X800 Meter Relay team of Hallie Smith, Savannah Tilley, Liya Butt and Emily CAthey finished first with time of 11:25.00. Ann Moses finished first in 100 Meter Hurdles with great time of 16:55. Kloe Reeves finished in second in the same event with 17:04 time. Cameon Potts garnered a first place finish in the boys 100 Meter Hurdles with 16.94 time. Eli Evenas had a 4th place finish with time of 18.22. Rhea County Boys 4X200 team of Joel Manzano, Aiden Wilkerson, Caleb Odell and Jacob Morris finished second. The Lady Eagles finsihed third in the 4X100 meter relay with 56.63 time. Running for Rhea were, Kloe Reeves, Hayle Zawisza, Chloe Watson and Ann Moses. Watson also had a fourth place finish in the girls 400 meter run with 56.74 time.
Katie Ryan notched a second place finish in the 400 meter das for Rhea with 1:04.53 time. Cameon Potts had a first in the boys 300 meter run with 45.38 time. Fellow Eagle Eli Evans had the second place finish in the same event with 47.58 time. Eli Cathey had another of the many first place finishes for Rhea County with a time of 2:41:55 in the 800 Meter Run, which is the same event that Stephen Kerley won for the boys with 2:04.95 time. Ann Moses was first in the 200 meter das with time of 27.16.
The girls 4x400 meter realy team won first for the Lady Eagles with time of 4:26.62 for the team of Kloe Reeves, Emily Cathey, Chloe Watson and Katie Ryan. Lady Eagles also took fourth place in event with team of Alyssa Morris, Savannah Tilley, Tori Smith and Hayla Zawisza finishing with time of 5;22.02.
The Eagles came close but had to settle for a second in the 4X400 Meter Relay with a time of 3:43.49. The team was composed of Cameon Potts, Adam Giusto, Aiden Wilkerson, Caleb O'Dell and Stephen Kerley. Cam Potts had the top finish in field event with second place finish in the triple jump with distance of 37:10.00. Halden Futrell had a third place finish in the boys shot put with throw of 37.09.00.
Competing for Rhea were: Braden Watson, Jordan Washington, Baron Bruehi, Joel Manzano, Austin Teffler, Caleb O'Dell, Adam Guisto, Stephen Kerley, Ben Garrison, Gabriel Ramos, Malachi Romero, Artem Serohyzen, Alvin Bishop, Bass Neal, Cameon Potts, Eli Evans, Cade Whitcomb, Halden Futrell, Elijah Newhouse, and Jacob Morris.
